Distribution of Bluebonnet Humanitarian Support to the Elderly in Kikandwa Village

IMG_1441Last Friday (14Dec2018) in Kikandwa Villages,  we managed to reach out to a total of 80 elderly people and widows with Humanitarian basic material assistance from Bluebonnet Hills Christian Church of Austin Texas USA. Bluebonnet has been extending such assistance to a number of elderly people for more than six years now. Below in photos is how the exercise went.

Distribution of Humanitarian Assistance to the Elderly and Widows in Kikandwa Villages

IMG_9536Today 25th May 2018 from 11:00am, we have reached out to over 60 elderly and widows in Kikandwa villages with basic humanitarian assistance. This assistance was donated by Bluebonnet Christians of Austin, Texas USA under the leadership of Dr. Landon. The donation comprised of: Soap, Sugar, Salt, Match boxes, Tea leaves and maize flour.

On the other note, we congratulate Dr. Landon for his PHD award and we pray to God to continue blessing Him.

Distribution of Humanitarian Basic Needs to the Elderly in Kikandwa

MainOver 90% of elderly people in Uganda live in rural communities. About 2% of them can afford to provide for themselves in terms of food and other basic needs for life. Life for majority of the elderly is generally bad and a need for constant supply of material is very important. The following are majorly needed: Soap, Sugar, Salt, Paraffin, Food, Beddings, Match Boxes, etc.

On 18th October, 2017, we reached out to over 60 elderly people in Kikandwa with basic needs donated by Bluebonnet Hills Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Landon. The material distribution was managed by Kikandwa Rural Communities Development Organization (KIRUCODO). Watch Video

Bluebonnet Donation Distribution to the Elderly affected by a long drought

blogYesterday we reached out to the elderly and widows of Kikandwa Villages with Humanitarian basic needs donated by Bluebonnets Christian Church of Austin, Texas.
We currently support communities affected by a long drought with food here in Uganda and we call for your support in terms of food or cash for buying food and basic materials for the affected communities.

Bluebonnet House to House delivery to the Elderly in Nakifuma villages

In December 2015, KIRUCODO volunteers delivered Bluebonnet Hills Christian Church donated Humanitarian basic needs to the elderly people in Nakifuma villages. Most of the elderly are very weak to travel longer distances and because of this we decided to deliver the materials home to home unlike in Kikandwa villages where most of the elderly people walked up to the KIRUCODO offices to pick up their respective donations. Bluebonnet Hills December 2015 Support to the Elderly (Kikandwa Villages)

Blog-picThis December 2015 material donations to the elderly was distributed on 18th December, 2015 and it was again sponsored by Bluebonnet Hills Christian Church of Austin, Texas, USA. We reached to over 70 elderly in Kikandwa Villages; over 30 elderly in Nakifuma village and over 30 in Mbarara.
