We are right now Brooding Kuroiler Chicks and this is what you need to know:

Basically the brooder has to be kept warm but air has also to pass through (Ventilated)

Some sources of light would include Power/Electricity lamps/ Paraffin lamps/Solar for lighting.

Charcoal pots with holes/ Infra red lights/ Coil for heat (use which ever you can afford but there should be lighting and heat (Warmth)

Give Glucose, Chick formula (Vitamins) V&E PLUS when your chicks have just arrived. You need 3 hours when chicks taking this solution before you introduce the feeds.For the first 3 days, pour the feeds on the brooding papers and don’t introduce the feeders as the chicks need to easily pick the feeds without hardship.On day 4, you can put the feeds in feeders and you can also put litter (coffee husks, etc). When you introduce litter, make sure to raise the drinkers a little bit to prevent the litter from getting deposited into water.
