GOOD NEWS: CTA, and its GODAN Action partners Approved Euro 2,300 grant towards our Capacity Building Training in Finding, Reusing and Publishing Open Nutrition Data.

Hello everyone,

Kikandwa Rural Communities Development Organization (KIRUCODO) is pleased to share with you the good news about CTA, and its GODAN Action partners, Euro 2,300 grant approval towards our Capacity Building Training Workshop in Finding, Reusing and Publishing Open Nutrition Data.

The overall goal of the workshop will be to equip the selected participants with key knowledge about open data principles in relation to Agriculture and Nutrition.

The selected participants will be educated on: Basic Open Data Principals, how to use Open Nutrition Data effectively, how to make Nutrition Data Open, how to share Nutrition Open Data and basic Intellectual Property and Copyright.

The participants will be shown a linkage between Open Nutrition Data and Household Development (OND-HD); Open Nutrition Data and Household Health Improvement (OND-HHI); Open Nutrition Data and Education Development (OND-ED); Open Nutrition Data and General Community Development (OND-GCD).

The expected workshop outcomes are as follows below:

  1. Creation of Mukono District Open Nutrition Data Taskforce (MUDONDT) for increase sensitization, promotion and advocacy for Open Nutrition Data in Mukono District.
  2. Participants will gain knowledge in:
    1. How to use Open Nutrition Data effectively
    2. How to make Nutrition Data Open
  • How to share Nutrition Open Data
