Distribution of Humanitarian Basic Needs to the Elderly in Kikandwa

MainOver 90% of elderly people in Uganda live in rural communities. About 2% of them can afford to provide for themselves in terms of food and other basic needs for life. Life for majority of the elderly is generally bad and a need for constant supply of material is very important. The following are majorly needed: Soap, Sugar, Salt, Paraffin, Food, Beddings, Match Boxes, etc.

On 18th October, 2017, we reached out to over 60 elderly people in Kikandwa with basic needs donated by Bluebonnet Hills Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Landon. The material distribution was managed by Kikandwa Rural Communities Development Organization (KIRUCODO). Watch Video
